CA Clean Power | Fact Sheet

Our Priority Issues

  • Transmission: ACP-CA is pushing California to move more quickly to build the modern transmission lines needed to bring new sources of 100% clean power online.
  • Clean energy market protection & expansion: ACP-CA is helping identify opportunities to grow the market for clean energy produced in California—while expanding clean power adoption and production across the West.
  • Offshore wind: ACP-CA is home to the (CCOWL), a group representing the five leaseholders developing the West Coast’s first offshore wind facilities. CCOWL is working with state leaders to promote the rapid deployment of this new technology, which has the potential to power as many as 25 million homes.

Recent Achievements

  • / : ACP-CA sponsored two bills that will help accelerate the approval process for extending and expanding current transmission systems, while helping connect new clean energy sources to the state power grid.
  • : ACP-CA worked closely on the landmark legislation establishing California’s first planning goals for offshore wind.
